we do not see many float equipped aircraft here in the UK. My first sightings were at The London Plane Show, held on The Southbank, back in May 1973.
Present were G-BAUL Schweizer Teal, and G-BASO Lake LA-4.
In 1980, they mowed the grass at the site of Croydon Aerodrome, and held a show. Float equipped DH82A Tiger Moth G-AIVW did some flypasts.
Thought I would start a theme topic for any float/amphibian aircraft photographed here in the UK.
I can think of Teals, Lakes, Grumman Goose, Widgeon, Sunderland, etc. even the Saunders-Roe SR45 Princess flying Boat.
