Lets hear it for the ATP
Think i,ll join the party with this old faithful the British Aerospace Advanced Turbo-Prop, currently another Aberdeen regular.
The aircraft first flew in August 1986 and entered service with British Midland in 1988,In total 64 aircraft were assembled at BAe's Woodford and Prestwick facilities production ended at Prestwick in 1996. In 2001 the ATP Freighter project allowed six ATPs to be converted into cargo aircraft for West Air Sweden.

Here's my selection, again mainly taken from scans of 35mm slides. Unfortunately, I have few usable scans of the LHR regulars (British Midland and Manx) as they were taken on AGFAChrome film which has not aged at all well.
BAe prototypre at Farnborough 1986
THT at Farnborough 1992
British Airways at Edinburgh Turnhouse 1993
BAe demonstrator J61 incarnation at Farnborough 1994
British Airways Express at Southampton Eastleigh 1995
United Express at Chicago O'Hare in 1997
Trident Leasing at Kemble in 1995
Who can remember the nigknames given to them - Norwegian Blue for the British Midland examples, can't recall the others.

That's a shame. She looks a bit of a sad sight in those pics, but at least no one got hurt.

Re: Lets hear it for the ATP
Hi Guys I have a bit of history with the ATP and I note that the first one on this thread was BTTO. While this aircraft was on loan to Manx, it hit a ground power unit while taxying at Belfast City and I have attached an image of what I saw when I arrived for work in the morning. It took a lot of fixing!
[img[url=https://fliBTTO Damage by stewartrobertson14
I have more ATP and Jetstream images to share but will not be able to get them done for about another week (if anyone is interested) A good few already on abpic.

Re: Lets hear it for the ATP
A brace from me, all gone but not forgotten.
G-OBWR of British World taken at Southend on 27th May 2001 not long before the airline ceased trading. The aircraft was later registered SE-MAR with West Air Sweden
G-BTZG formally of Merpati Nusantara taken at Woodford on 5th October 2004 where it was in long term storage following return by the previous operator in 1997 . The aircraft was broken up in 2008.
G-BTZK was painted in full SATA Air Acores colours but never put into service. It was previously PK-MTZ of Merpati Nusantara and was also photographed at Woodford. Like its sister ship it was broken up in 2008
