I thought I would start a themed topic and nostalgia seems the best place to put it (if there's enough interest in doing some of these maybe we will start a new sub-forum). As our long suffering admin Mike (I bet he's suffering after last night's vindaloo) has a liking for Beagle pups lets start with a Beagle Pup topic so get posting with any pics no matter how old and let's see what photos we can unearth - have fun folks.
I'll start it off with these few:

and 2 from Denham in 1973 (also scanned slides), G-AZJH and G-AZCT

who's next with one or more then?

Yay !
What a great choice of aircraft to start with.
Another one of G-AXNS in a rather sorry looking state at Gamston after a heavy landing in 1988(ish).
G-AXJN, G-AZGF and G-AZSX at Sywell in 1973(ish), excuse the quality - scanned from slides with a cheap slide scanner !

and at Popham in May 2009
Two Beagles for the price of one - G-AXJO at Blackbushe in July 1987
and at Popham in August 2013
G-AWYJ at Old Sarum in June 1986
and at Compton Abbas in 2012
and finally a Swiss Pup at Blackbushe in April 1985

I'm really liking these themed topics - finding photos I'd forgotten about. Nice to see some of the slightly older and sometimes classic types.
So I've been digging through my archives and found a few Pups. Again some are of very poor quality from slide scans - never really cleaned the scans properly. Anyway the first two are from Elstree in the 80s:
G-AZCZ from December 1984

and G-OPUP from October 1989

My own take of G-IPUP also at the North Weald races in 2009

Also from 2009 is G-AXOJ at Rochester

and finally G-AXNS caught on departure from the 2014 Wings and Wheels event at Old Buckenham

I'm new to this site. I'm putting together a pictorial history of the Beagle Pup, I have photos of every aircraft built but still searching for a few subsequent re registrations. Hi Keith and welcome to the forum, I hope that someone can help fill the gaps - that's a great shot of HB-NAN and I've really enjoyed looking through the Pup shots in your Flickr album.

Thanks Mike, I was at G-AVDF's first flight and I watched each aircraft roll down the line. I took pictures as and when I could, my collection is around 400 shots, I now have access to four other collections plus the net. There seems to be about 275 different markings but I'm still 34 missing. I've even written to owners without much luck. They are pretty difficult to come by, so anything the membership has is a real bonus.

Hi Keith, I was just a teenager when the Pup first flew and have always had a soft spot for them - they just look so right. I saw photos of 'VDF, 'VLM & 'VLN in Air Pictorial that year and then other shots in Aircraft Illustrated in 1968 when it began, those photos began my life-long love of the aircraft.
I had many a day trip to Prestwick when I lived in Edinburgh and saw virtually every Bulldog on the production line, there were also lots of unfinished Pup fuselages there in the early days too (1970??). I believe that some of these were sold, eventually completed and are still flying today.
Good luck with your search.

Hi Mike, My next project could be Bulldogs but I'm short on photos, quite a few went through Shoreham and Gatwick on delivery so I've got about 100 images. Have you got many photos?, plus I've never seen any photos of the Pups that went from Rearsby to Prestwick, do you have any? Most of the Prestwick Pups were scrapped so I understand ( such a waste) but a few were used to repair damaged older aircraft, it all in Tom Wenham's book about Beagle just out. I've just joined the Pup and Bulldog Club and they are very keen to see any photos people have. I'll dug out a few of VDF ect and put them on line. DF is undergoing a rebuilt at the moment and it is hoped it will fly again this year for its 50th anniversary.
