not sure if this is restoration or just preservation but a group called Doors2Manual are planning on preserving the top deck / cockpit of B747 G-GBYA from Kemble, their FB page ( https://www.facebook.com/thedeck747 ) shows the deck removed earlier this week and transport is apparently arranged. Their crowdfunding page shows £650 raised out of £20,000 required so not sure how successful they will be. Reading their plans I'm afraid I'm a bit dubious about it's future success but good luck to them for trying
here's the crowdfunding page which details their plans

I am one of the owners of this project, and the top deck of G-BYGA
just to put right the comment here- the crowd funder is NOT required to make the project happen.
The aircraft deck is being transported on 11th August and this IS going ahead.
Thanks
