Hello

Post by LondonEye » Wed Nov 18, 2015 4:45 pm

Hello,
I first went to an airport in 1971 - Queens Roof Gardens at Heathrow, and became hooked. Gatwick followed, how great it was to go out on the pier, and look down on the aircraft. A time of viewing areas, and greater freedom at airfields. Airshows too - Biggin Hill - May Air Fair, September Battle of Britain. Farnborough, with a host of new types appearing. Greenham Common, Mildenhall, Middle Wallop, West Malling, the list goes on.
How times have changed, now using aids such as AirNav box and FR24 online.
Hope I will be able to contribute something useful to others.
Pete.

Welcome Pete, I too have fond memories of the Queen's buildings and the roof terrace at Gatwick - they were great days. :)
