My intro
I have just noticed this forum, so here's my intro. Been spotting civ and mil since the very early 1950s, when I noticed an Ian Allen spotters book, (sadly civil only), while looking for the new year's rail spotters books! My very first 'tick' was G-AFVT, a Stinson Reliant over the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe. My first flight was in Anson PH564 while on CCF camp at Thorney Island in Aug 1955. I visited RAF Halton a few times by bike from my home in Aylesbury. Didn't note serials though, sadly! Also trips to Heathrow and Northolt were fairly frequent.

Re: My intro
welcome to the forum .
An early '50s Ian Allen CAM! - that's the earliest I've heard of. My first was 1968. I wish I still had it and I expect you feel the same (unless you had the foresight to keep it, I did for years then got rid of some clutter and now regret it). The early ones must be collectors' pieces now.
thanks for the brief about yourself, it's nice to have introductions from new members and hope you enjoy your times on here.
I found a photo of myself, my father and my brother taken after my first flight in an Auster at Clacton in 1958 a couple of weeks ago. Maybe i'll post it some time!

Re: My intro
Welcome aboard fella, my 1st CAM was in 1964 which I still have along with loads of others, I didn't take to the air until 1971 - in G-APEA Vanguard of BEA from Edinburgh to Heathrow.
Have fun and just shout if you need any help with anything.
