Seen parked outside the Eastern Airways hangar this morning
HK-4765-X Jetstream 41 in basic Eastern blue and white but no markings otherwise.
Check on G-INFO shows that G-MAJV was deregistered on 02/02/11 with a destination of Colombia, guess that's it then.

Hi,
They could have parked it better for a photo  it's rather tucked away in it's present position  doubt if I'll be lucky enough to catch it on it's departure whenever that will be ?.

Hi all, new to the group

Saw this JS at Prestwick in 2006 when it returned from the States as N557HK, now it's back to HK, front this time. Could anyone help with the ident of the SAAB that was sitting in front of the JS. Also is the wreck at the side G-GCJL. I noticed what looked like a BAC 1-11 on the fire dump, any idea of it's identidy? I now live in S Yorks so the visit was a first but a really good place to see.

Regards

Iain

Hi Iain,
Yes the reck is that of G-GCJL, and the Saab was G-CERZ.
HK-4765-X Jetstream 41 couldn't be seen anywhere today so may have departed ?.

Regards,
Rich

Regarding the decaying Jetstream 41 fuselages between the Eastern hangar and Hangar 9 there are actually two of them. The British Aerospace demonstrator/company hack is the left hand one as viewed from the opposite side of the airfield. I have a feeling that the other was an unregistered/unfinished ? fuselage obtained from Prestwick for spares. Can anyone confirm this? I might just have to take a walk out onto the GA apron to check or ask a friendly techie!

HK-4765-X (ex G-MAJV) is due to start it's long journey to new owners today (16/2) - although I don't know who that is.

Using its reg as callsign it is due to depart Humberside at 0910 enroute to Stornoway (eta 1045), then after re-fuel (etd 1200) on to Reykjavik.

route is GOLES (0920) POL (0935) MARGO (0945) TLA (1000) FL180

One is G-GCJL, the prototype used for flight trials work. It is ex-storage at Woodford. The other one is a non-flyer from Prestwick.
