Certainly did - both approaches at Sumburgh are interesting to put it mildly. The ones to 33 were in the J.31 and flown purely as a photographic observer, but I flew two approaches to 27 myself in the F406. I wouldn't want to land there with brake problems or have to abort a take-off a la Dan-Air 748.

I've got a CD of aerial shots of the Western Isles including Stornoway and Benbecula from Highland Airways inaugural Inverness-Stornoway-Benbecula service, I'll post those when I can locate it.

Must be nearly thirty years or there abouts. I joined Customs & Excise in 1982 and it was before then.
