As mentioned in the helicopters section, had a trip to a rather busy Halfpenny Green today.

First attempt at using RAW and processing in CS3 so all comments or help would be welcome.

Great shots Steve,I've often wondered about shooting in RAW - I might just have a trial with it before the summer starts !

Hi Steve

Nice shots of a lovely selection of aircraft! Just a hint: looking at your picture of the Goodyear Airship it looks like you've got load of dust on your sensor, I suggest having a read of your camera manual on how to deal with that :)

A little comment on your editing: The pictures look very grainy, this could be your editing or the settings on the camera (ISO). The colours also look a little faint, thats an editing one I think

G-BPUA was delivered through Barton & G-GOTH is from one of the flying schools aswell!

Thanks for the comments Mike and Stephen,

From your comments Stephen would you suggest a little more saturation to improve the colours ? ISO was set at 400 so I'm not sure whether that's caused the grainy issue on the pics or not.

I thought I'd cloned it all out :lol: seriously though it does need a clean.

Steve :)

I've just put this back into CS3 and upped the saturation slightly and also tried to get rid of the grainy effect, any better ?

Hi Steve

Great set of pics there. Does anyone know when the goodyear blimp is leaving or has it left?

Hey, where did that airship spring from? G-TLEL isn't the same one as before. Last time it was G-HLEL.

Have just checked :- http://www.caa.co.uk/application.aspx?c ... gmark=HLEL" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and :- http://www.caa.co.uk/application.aspx?c ... gmark=TLEL" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For the number crunchers amongst us G-TLEL is ex I-TIRE which unfortunately for me,I saw when is was at Halfpenny Green as the Italian a few years ago. Still you can't win 'em all :D

Nice set of pics Steve. The 2nd shot of DEH looks better to me.
Maybe ISO400 was a little high given the sunshine.
I will definately use RAW next time I'm out.

Nice shots :)
G-TLEL is the one still in the UK, whereas G-HLEL left for France a few days ago.
