Manchester 11 March (large post)

Hi all, despite the forecast at manchester yesterday I decided to try my luck. Overcast skies made shooting very difficult but I was happy with the outcomes. Enjoy

15. The Emirates A380 was due to depart at 1:30pm but suffered engines problems. When it left at 6:45 in the pitch black it was still there, however I heard on the radio it was due to leave at 7. An idle engine test coughs up some smoke!

20. It was now a case of how low can you go with shutter speeds! All photos were handheld so I was very pleased with the results. 1/60th.
