My wife and I took a road trip through France a few weeks back. Although a "non-spotting" holiday I always try and fit in a few airfields, whether planned or "oh look a sign to an airfield". Sometimes if the timing is right and a suitable shady spot can be found then a lunch-stop is readily agreed to with said spouse! This trip was no different and a number of fields were paid a visit. One of our overnight stops was a just down the road from Chateauroux airport so the next morning a quick stop was made to see what was around. Among the dozen or so noted were these four which provided the better angle for photographs. I am saving the first one for a SPOTM later in the year.
