I'd pencilled in a trip to Manchester on the Champions League Final weekend after City won the semi-final to see what might be about in ferrying the fans to and from Istanbul. As it happens it was 80% Turkish Airlines and Pegasus so not the most varied of airlifts. However the sun shone and the facilities up there are outstanding for photography so was quite happy with the results nonetheless.
Firstly before the main event, a well timed stop on the way up resulted in bagging the following Cavok An-12 on approach to Birmingham on the Saturday evening.

Then out to Manchester Airport on the Sunday for the arrivals back from Istanbul. The definite star of the show for me was the Plus Ultra A340.
