I made my first trip of 2023 to Heathrow on Sunday, spent the morning on a very wet Stanwell Moor photographing 27L departures and then moved round to get 27L arrivals after the runway swap at 3pm, Here are some of the morning departures and I'll put the afternoon ones on a separate topic....

There are some great angles there Andy, enhanced by the fact the landing gear is fully retracted, making the a/c look sleeker than in most shots us enthusiasts can get.

Nice set Andy. Need to get over there myself one of these days.

Thanks Dennis, wait until it dries a bit though. It was flooded coming in from Stained to the south and the path from Stanwell was flooded on places. Hopefully it's starting to dry a bit by now.
I think it's better for bankers than Feltham park nowadays as they only turn about 40 degrees as they depart and then those going west turn again about 6 miles out

I walked or rather paddled south on the footpath from Hithermoor Road until I got to the stile and then went along the river bank for about 200 metres.
The approximate location is shown in my Heathrow guide in the airfields section
