Hi again

My trip down to see family allowed me time to visit St Athan for both the stored airliners and the South Wales Aviation Museum (SWAM) on Good Friday, the museum is open on Saturdays & Sundays with all Bank Holidays apart from Xmas and New Year. As always I started by going up to the area the Police & Coastguard Helicopters park, the Coastguard helicopters are difficult to photograph unless they taxi out and fly. The second area I went to was SWAM which has put up its prices but I would still recommend a visit, the display alters slightly every time I go. After leaving SWAM you will see the stored airliners with 'scrappers corner' being to the right as you exit. I last went in early March and there had been a few changes since then.

The following are a few of the pictures taken on this visit, if wanted I could put up some of the March photographs later for comparison.

A log to follow later after catching up on the IPL, I'm 4 matches behind.

I hope these were interesting.

Great set of photos, always find the disassembly of aircraft, although sad, fascinating.

As for the IPL, you missed a cracker yesterday ! :o

Graeme

Nice to see some photos from St Athan - especially the BOAC 747 - has there been any public access to that one whatsoever yet? (The Negus one at Kemble is regularly opened, I believe, and, whilst there haven't been any for about a year, the Landor at Dunsfold has had a couple of open days).

Professor_M The 747 as far as I'm aware is not open to the public currently and I'm not sure what plans they have for it.

I'm now just two games behind with the IPL and yes geeellpee (Graeme) that was a very interesting game (GT vs KKR) I didn't rate that Dayal as a bowler and was wondering why he was bowling a third over until I realised they had gone with just the five bowlers.

I will add some extra St Athan and Cardiff pictures tomorrow

Craig
