Post your three holers

Post by AlanP » Wed Oct 27, 2010 6:17 pm

If this one is as popular as the 747 thread then it should be great. Same rules as before, 3 per post. I'll kick off with my favourite airliner.

A top idea! :thumb:

My collection is rather lacking in 3 engined aircraft , so I've gone for some biz jets (there not as nice as a MD11 but still have 3 burners!)

Couple of average scans from me.

Sabre 727 in front of the long gone southside hangars at Ringway.
Image
And the now gone Trident that made up part of the BA collection at Cosford that was cut up. Still riles me.

Hi Charles 022....At least I provoked a response on behalf of this guy's photo and don't lay claim to being an expert on civil aircraft recognition.I did well though without having to refer to the internet for the aircraft's reg for exact type to provide at least the predecessor ,Ha,ha :) Good of you to point it out though as this is the way to learn the difference in types and there history.Perhaps by making a mistake in future on other photo's in an error with type or name may be a good way to draw in a bit of feedback and critiscism about the photo. Thanks again for pointing out the mistake but once again a cracking photo....JB ;) :halo:

No worries mate, glad I can help. The easiest way to distinguish the DC-10 from the MD-11 is the fact that the MD-11 has winglets and is slightly longer.
