I was most pleased to Heathrow once again, having not been there since the pandemic started. The weather was perfect, and there were some interesting visitors too:

Star visitor was an Air Algerie Cargo L-100-30 Hercules. It has been with the Algerian Air Force for many years (indeed I photographed it at Heathrow over 20 years ago while in service), but now carries Air Algerie titles and logo:

A couple of Iberia heavies:

More of the Aer Lingus fleet is gaining the new livery:

One of the best liveries to be seen at Heathrow these days:

Just one 747 seen all day, how times change:

SAS A320neos in old and new livery:

Just one biz-jet arrival:

Retrojets are always a welcome replacement for the modern bland liveries. Even though Austrian's 70's/80's livery was predominantly white, I think it still works well:

On the subject of bland modern liveries, it's such a shame China Eastern changed to an all-white livery a few years ago. There old livery had much more character.

Just how spectacular would this 777-300ER have looked in the old livery?

Not many A318s flying:

The A350 is settling in with BA and Virgin:

Not many 767s to be seen at Heathrow these days, compared to 10 or 20 years ago:

Very pleased to catch the Etihad Greenliner, which looks fabulous:

Far fewer 737 MAXs around compared to A320/A321neos:

The A220 is a very modern looking airliner, and the passenger experience must be enhanced by the large windows. Being an early production example, this one is actually a C-Series:

The Alitalia fleet is gradually gaining the new livery:

One of the more colourful liveries:

Vintage airliners working hard for DHL:

I do like catching European heavies here in the UK:

very nice selection Nick and good to see a few new liveries appearing - the Aegean one is a vast improvement on the old!

Wish I'd made the effort to join you now
