and the final part of my trilogy! on or way back home we stopped off at Fowlmere, I had phoned in advance to arrange our visit and found them most welcoming. there was quite a varied selection on the airfield and in the hangar. The British Aerobatic Academy is based at Fowlmere and most of their aircraft were all at Lt Gransden for the aforementioned competition so have featured in part 1.

Here's a selection of my photos starting on the outside, these two Cessna 303s have been there for some time although the grass underneath G-CRUZ had been cut so that must have moved recently.......

my friend Mike was interested in the 1960s vintage ex RAF fuel bowser in the background of this as he used to operate one at Church Fenton and Linton on Ouse during his RAF days!

The old Coastguard oil spill spotter Cessna 310 and the Grobs look good.

I do like Cessna T303s. G-CRUZ is still airworthy and has a modern paint scheme, so hopefully it will be flying for a while yet.

Lovely report and photos Andy. I've been to Fowlmere a couple of times and put a few quid in their charity bucket (Air Ambulance if I recall right?).

Nice to see Champion G-BKBP but makes me feel old as I saw this as Little Snoring's aerobatics event way back in 1986! Also good to see Ce140 G-HALJ complete - it was engineless at Conington in 2018.

thanks for the comments everybody.
For the benefit of Apache123 , yes the new owners are very friendly and allowed us to look round everywhere but I did phone in advance to ask if we could visit and they appreciated that. There's also a security gate with CCTV about 1/2 mile from the hangar and we had to call from there to be let in - again, the fact that they were expecting us made that an easier formality.

The British Aerobatic Academy are based there and they are trying hard to develop their business and I wish them luck.
