Another Cardiff set - yes, it's almost like a real airport!

Evening all. A week of PPE flights into the local was heartwarming and gave the chance to catch up with various faces at a responsible social distance. It really is good to get back out. Already plotting for when we're allowed over the border next week

Sport keeps happening, which keeps the movement levels above 0 per week...

Those two were the Czech Republic football team arriving. The citation came in from Germany as a late change in the covid rules their meant the German based players for both teams could play in just this one match. One of their German-based players was sent off, as the Czechs lost 1-0. Good times all round!

A sneaky military shot here, get them while we can before they're replaced by that god-awful liveried A321N. Always a pleasure to see a 146, even if for a solitary touch and go.

Fading light for the arrival of this Nordwind 773. I'm quite happy with the result considering my camera is now 10 years old!

Early morning light for this Nordwind 772

It day-stopped, which meant the early start was only necessary for the gorgoues and all-too-rare light.

And today's visitor to St Athan, this 15 year old ex-Jazeera Airways and Sri Lankan A320 of IndiGo

Thanks for looking all. If anyone is thinking about making a cross-border trip this way after Monday and needs any pointers or assistance with logs, do feel free to drop me a message on here and I'll do my best to assist. In the meantime I'll leave you with something a little bit different; purple parking under the setting moon.

The Nordwind and Indigo are nice catches, Guess the Pandemic has at least thrown a few interseting flights our way!
Cheers Paul

thanks for sharing....cant wait to get back to an airport.
We are only allowed travel 5KM from our house for exercise so that leaves me 60odd km short of getting to Dublin or Shannon

Thanks all, if nothing else the freight flights all over the UK have been very interesting - just a shame they've been the preserve of locals. Makes for interesting viewing nonetheless!

Niall - I feel your pain - we had a 5 mile rule in place last year and I live 10 miles from CWL. But we are the closest big town, and I tend to feel safer and more isolated at the airport than I do at the shops. Method somewhere in the madness no doubt, but it's all the better when you can get your fix of Jet A1 again!
