Super Puma at work

Post by Andy L » Tue Oct 06, 2020 8:02 pm

Evening Folks
Over the past few months RTE (Réseau de Transport d'Électricité) have been doing some major work on the HT line
between Rennes and St Malo. Part of this involved replacing just over 100 Pylons, 24 of which had to be done using
the Puma. The pylons were assembled (just like giant Mecano) on one site and then flown to their respected locations.
Each pylon was flown in 3 sections. The Puma is only allowed to fly for 5000m with an underslung load so several sites
were used.
I caught it in a field by an industrial estate at Quebriac where there were 7 pylons to be moved, it was also visiting
another site at the same time.
