Ukraine Air Alliance An-12 UR-CGW came in this afternoon from Liege, and luckily the clouds parted for it's arrival. Hung around for the departure and it turned into a nice evening, but it was late leaving so it missed the last of the sunlight. Just the one shot - the next frame was sharper but has some fence in view.

Re: Stansted AN-12
Thanks chaps.
I messed up though - I wanted to hear the winner of the Grand Prix, so hanging on for that last lap meant I was in a bit of a rush to get in position. In my haste, I left my phone and scanner in my bag, so I couldn't hear on radio what was cleared to land nor check FR24 and the view of the approach was unlighted by the trees on my left. I heard something coming and thinking it would be another Ryanair, I switched the settings just so I could get my bearings, but it was at AN-12, so I had to quickly switch back and grab a few shots before the fence loomed into view.
Went to Green Street and then walked up the track by the fence towards Belmer, following it until the point where the fence kinks to the left - I figured that the fence would be less of an issue if it was parallel to the direction I was pointing my lens, rather than perpendicular to it.andygolfer wrote:very nice Dan, was that at Belmer road or further out?

Re: Stansted AN-12
that's always a problem when you multi-task, I was doing the same at Old warden and missed a few due to the GP.
That one is nice though so at least you got one good one of it.
If you were where I think you mean it drops away a bit there so the fence is more of a problem.
