I like many other's are praying BA will bring at least some of the 747 fleet back into service. I have huge fear's it just won't happen though. I wanted to make an effort to try and shoot the current situation for something to look back on. The three at Kemble have had or are having engines removed. So I'm guessing they are finished and there are more due into cotswold I hear. Such a shame

Great pictures of a sad subject
And just read that its being reported that BA expect to only have 2 747 return to service full time.
How many they keep as reserve Im not sure

Stunning shots!
Absolute brilliant 747 shots, shame it's looking rough but the One World 747 is well captured with that well worn and weathered look.
Can you get round most of Bournemouth in a car? Last time I was there was a good 6+ years ago and only once, seem to recall turning up to some gatehouse and asking if I could go round for numbers and being told ok but to be back in 10 minutes or something...? That was for where the stored and scrapped stuff is, presumably that's where the BA's are..

Fabulous shots of the BA Queens. Sad to hear they are all retired.

I just used google maps Steve . If you head for the BA maintenance hangar most are parked there. Easily captured. I walked up closer to the terminal for the specials. These may if been moved around since then though I'm not sure. Its a pretty easy task getting some shots to be fair
