N612UP departing Stansted 07-04-2020 (over Rayne)

Post by andygolfer » Tue Apr 07, 2020 7:34 am

the wind has moved round so Stansted are on runway 04 this morning and the sun is out too. All I needed was an aircraft to oblige and the UPS 747 to Hong Kong duly obliged, just south of me at 4000ft. I was worried my camera shutter might be stuck through lack of use but all worked perfectly.....

has done a few times Bob when they have been on 04s but I was up, ready and waiting today with the light as it was! They are quiet compared to the 400s though.

Wow! Excellent shots, great view of it there!

Not seen an UPS 747-8 close yet, seen a few from the garden (Wiltshire) high up, Stansted ones usually end up on a north track so never see one low over here, only ones I see at a lower height for Stansted is a FexEx MD11 which sometimes comes over Choppenham/Bath way, depending on the north Atlantic Track.
