Manchester 30 November

A belated post, it was a week ago that I popped out to Manchester Airport. I took my labrador Bella with me, as she enjoys an outing. It was a crisp morning, frosty but bright. Although mostly crunchy underfoot, there were still some areas of mud to be negotiated. Unfortunately, we could hear shotguns being fired some distance away from the Airport. This caused Bella to panic so I had to pack up after photographing only six arrivals.

As I was walking to my favourite spot, I saw the Virgin 747 coming in so I grabbed my camera from the backpack and managed to snatch a couple of shots. The above was the only one I kept.

There were several other photographers about - but so was the frost.

Really good shots in that clear & crisp winter air Paul, it's just a shame that you had to leave so soon.

Thanks everyone. I just hope we get a bit more sunlight and not too much mud over the next few months.

Bella was fine once we got to the car - I will be taking her to the airport with me more often. She knows that a pond is near where I set up my tripod and in summer, disappears every now and then for a swim while I take photographs. A frosty winters day, however, is not the time for a dip!
