Evening All,
Alliance Airlines has been acquiring most of Europe aging Fokker 70/100 fleet to support its growing operations in Australia. KLM UK Engineering has signed a 10 year engineering contract with Alliance to perform the major maintenance checks on these aircraft, so Norwich Airport has become home to an increasing amount of VH- registered Fokkers!
The next Fokker 70 that Alliance is due to take delivery of is VH-NUU, this 24 year old Fokker has spent its previous life serving Austrian Airlines as OE-LFJ, but it has now received a very special colour scheme to support Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).
Alliance Airlines has been a long supporter of BCNA, so it is great to see them paint an aircraft with these colours for what is such a worth while cause. Alliance has raised thousands for the charity so far and hopefully the awareness this plane will create will help with that.
