With the resumption of summer weather last week, and as it had been nearly 3 years since my last visit, I decided take a trip up to Gatwick to catch some runway 08 arrivals on Friday. Having decided to get there for a 6am start I had to contend with numerous trunk road and motorway overnight closures, thankfully those on the M25 and M23 had been lifted by time i reached them, despite the best attempts of gantry signs to tell motorists otherwise.

First picture of the day at 05:58 and then 13 hours of continuous arrivals and departures...great!!

Great set, wish there was some public transport round to that end, I always end up at the station end now as cant be bothered to walk all the way round!!! Looking at those shots i should probably make the effort!

Yeah its a pity its not more spotter friendly..puts you off going if you have to travel far
