A few from a mixed weekend in Frankfurt last month. All was going well until Ryanair cancelled the return flight leaving hundreds of us stranded, chaos ensuing....

Up til then it was great

A nice range of colourful subject matter, but its the Condor/Lufthansa 'retro' schemes I like the most!

How long did it take you to get back to Blighty?

They offered a flight from dusseldorf on Tuesday (this was on the sunday) but the first flight from Frankfurt was on Thursday!! In the end I had to shell out and take a BA flight back to city on the Monday.
The worst thing was our inward flight was diverted to Hahn due to the storm, and they didnt think to bus us to it or trip it over to take us back to Stansted!
God only knows when everyone else got back, Ryanair were absolutely useless during it all......

A cracking set of shots but Ryanair have let you down really badly there, have you been offered any form of compensation?

Hi Mike,
I managed to get about 2/3rds back out of them, absolutely no customer care or interest really. There was just one clueless gir (not her fault really) with no explanation of what was happening. They did at least find me a hotel for the night but I had to make my own way there or wait 3 hours for a bus to take me!!!
was at the front of the queue somewhat happened to those at the back I've no idea. Probably still waiting for a flight.....
As for the refund, I evevntually got an email saying how much they would give me and we consider this matter closed!
I understand that the lightning storm was out of their hands etc but all the other airlines managed to get on the ground/take off even if it was after a delay. My mate on BA got home 2 hours late, but I'd have happily taken that, especially as our return aircraft was so close by!!!
