Stansted 10-04-2019 a curtailed visit

A few from Stansted around lunchtime today - a new location that I'd walked about a mile each way to a couple of times before but never spent time taking pics from. Unfortunately this time a security man didn't like me being there and asked me to leave  - why have a sign on a fence saying 'unauthorised access prohibited' when you can't even be at the fence to see what the sign says anyway, my suggestion that the prohibition started at the fence wasn't accepted!
As it was the taxiway pics close to the fence were fine but there was so much concrete between my location and the runway that the heat haze made photos actually on the runway useless - I was hoping for some touchdowns. Anyway that's immaterial now as I was told that Belmer road is the only permissible spotting location so that'a another nail in Stansted's coffin.

some pics:

What a shame, because as a spot for taxi shots it is clearly fantastic, looking at your shots above. The haze ruins the landing shots, except for the last one where I think it works to really enhance the picture.

I think I can guess what P.O.O.S. stands for!

It is a shame, that was my first time there when they have been using 04 and for taxying shots it is the best I've found at Stansted.

P.O.O.S.! - I'm sure you can!

thats a real shame Andy, as you say that looks like it could be the best spot at Stansted :(
Its getting really hard to do any sort of spotting/photos there now isnt it?
