I made a brief stop here yesterday on my way to Bologna airport for my flight home and thanks to Claudio (Pegasus) found the right person to get a walk round and a visit to the museum hangar which he kindly unlocked for me -There a nice Stearman inside which flys occasionally and there was also an Extra and an unidentified glider under sheets plus a couple of vehicles etc.
lets start with a rotary subject, I-X048 is the first and as far as I can find the only Curti Aerospace Zefhir flying, it arrived just at the right moment and was put into one of the hangars soon afterwards, it's the first helicopter to have used an emergency parachute system in the case of an engine failure..http://zefhir.eu/safety/ It wasn't carrying the parachute pod when I saw it though....

there are a few more in my flickr album https://www.flickr.com/photos/125470545 ... 7803767334 and would have been even more of some -22s round the back of the hangars had I not knocked my lens onto manual focus
without realising!
(the album says Ozzano and Bologna - the BLQ photos will be there later on)
C&C welcome
Andy
