First for 2019 and rather a large visitor to Norwich
Virgin Atlantic brought in 747 G-VBIG to carry out some ILS and circuit training around Norwich, no she did not land we not that big enough to take it, brought a bit of a stir in the area

Nice one Mark!
Reminds me of the C-5 Galaxy that made several approaches back on 18th April 1984 between 1730 and 1800 to be precise Couldn't believe it at the time. Nice to have something completely different like that. Appropriate registration too although not just VBIG also TOO BIG
Does make you wonder though what would happen if something went wrong and they had to land!

Re: Boeing 747 at NWI
Reminds me (2005 ish?) of when I watched a Bournemouth based European Aviation ex BA 747-200 perform a one off practice approach into little old Eastleigh / Southampton International when enroute back to base.
The view from my lounge window was close to the approach on runway 20 about three miles from the airport and the leap in scale from the usual Dash 8/Emb 145 traffic made my 3 year old daughter copy her dad and proberbly utter her 1st swear word.....
