Japanese B747s at LHR

Post by Cessna954 » Thu Jan 10, 2019 7:36 pm

They look very civil to me, so maybe turn a blind eye to being operated by the military.

In far from ideal light - slight mist, very grey and a tad chilly.

JAF001 first in on 27L for thew VVIP suite with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Nice shots Neil.

I managed to be at 27R for the first landing and 27L for the second so all in all a frustrating outing today. Did salvage one shot of 20-1101 landing on 27R from Hatton Cross so bagged at least a record shot of one of the 747's before the triple seven's replace them.

The first of the B777 which are due to replace the B747s has recently visited Stockholm on a training flight from Basle
