Evening all
On Friday 4/1/19 I was lucky enough to be granted access to this turbo Dak to get a few shots after dark. The crew were busy preparing the aircraft for the next leg of its journey which was due to start the following morning so these were taken as quickly as possible to lessen my 'getting in their way' so to speak. Many thanks to them and to A.W and P.A for enabling this shoot to go ahead at very short notice (it was all requested and arranged that afternoon)

That's a great machine, the second BT-67 in to Hurn in recent months I believe.

Nice pictures.

very nice and very fortunate to get such good co-operation Mark.

Also nice to see one of the Conroy - what is the current status of that please? - there are rumours from time to time of a new lease of life for it but then others say it's corroded etc.

thanks for sharing them
andy

Thanks Andy. If you believe what the owners tell you then it's going to fly off into the sunset one day to somewhere in France, have a complete overhaul and go into service hauling cargo somewhere less fortunate than here.... however I feel the reality, knowing they need CAA permission to fly in UK airspace and an FAA ticket to fly the ferry leg to the maintenance facility, neither of which is likely to be very forthcoming, is that it'll end up scrapped. That's my personal feeling but I think it's a more realistic one!

First saw it at Luton in the early 80s and many times after that with many different registrations!

Thanks Zonan :thumb:
