Manchester on 14 December

I managed to injure my foot on my way home from my Birmingham trip in November and have not taken the camera out for a month. So I was pleased to be able to pop up to Manchester Airport on Friday. To say it was cold would be an understatement. There was a fair bit of frost around but as a bonus, the mud was also frozen which made the walk from the car much more pleasant. There is a small pond near where I normally set up the tripod and this was frozen over.

My ISO varied from 4000 on the first images I am posting here to ISO 200 on the last. The Logan Air Embraer, the TUI 737 Max 8 and the Swiss A220 were new for me and I didn't notice the Max 8 until I went through the images in Lightroom.

The images are in time sequence - or highest noise removal to lowest!

Some lovely early morning light on those shots. Every credit for getting out that early. Thats the only problem on that 23L path at this time of year though- if its mild theres's loads of mud and if it's cold its frozen solid! Roll on spring and summer!
Best Wishes
Pete

Thanks Pete. I also wish the runway was open a bit longer in the off season - but the way time flies, it will soon be spring again.
