Everts Air Cargo DC-6 at Anchorage IA
Everts Air Cargo DC-6 at Anchorage IA
Hi all,
I managed to get a few hours at Anchorage International Airport on a recent trip to Alaska. Here is one shot of an Everts Air Cargo DC-6 departing. Its was an amazing sight to see and hear these aircraft on scheduled flights in amongst all of the 747s and MD-11s.
I will post more of the DC-6s and other aircraft in the near future.

What a sight and sound in 2018. I remember enjoying the Air Atlantique examples when they used to fly freight around the country (and at the occasional airshow). Looking forward to the rest of your shots from Anchorage.
Re: Everts Air Cargo DC-6 at Anchorage IA
Thanks. I was really pleased after only seeing them land in Fairbanks. To see this one in a different scheme was fantastic.andygolfer wrote: ↑Wed Sep 12, 2018 8:38 pmthat is bee-ooo-teeeful

Where you off to in Canada? Not sure where the Buffalo Airways aircraft fly to.

Those were the days. The L188s were a regular site across many an airport too.PorkScratching wrote: ↑Wed Sep 12, 2018 8:53 pmWhat a sight and sound in 2018. That's a cracker of a shot - I can almost hear the roar of those piston engines as she climbs away; and nice to see an oldie in such a smart livery. Well done for the photo.
