Re: EMA, Tuesday Evening 22/06/10
Thanks.
Does anyone have any tips as to dow I could get them a bit clearer as I always find I get part of the plane too dark.
I'm currently just using Shutter priority and auto modes but would llike to experiement a bit more.
For example are there some common settings that I should be looking at changing for when shooting in lower lighting conditions?
Thanks for your help.

Lovely colours in the sun-set.
To be honest, it's a good set of pictures, not a lot wrong with the exposure, they all seem fine to me. The first shot is probably the weakest, but that may be because it's back-lit, the Sun would appear to be around the aircraft's 12 to 1 o'clock position.
Have you edited them in any software or are they straight from the camera?
Steve

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply.
The photos have come straight off the camera.
I don't really edit my photos apart from cropping as I've only just got my DSLR and still experimenting, but will have a play around in Photoshop with sharpening and lighting and see.

They could perhaps do with a little sharpening, there's a great guide here, using a free program called GIMP -

You won't be able to do much about the lighting in Photoshop, although you can alter the exposure to lighten it up.

Re: EMA, Tuesday Evening 22/06/10
I'l be there Tuesday again. Probably starting off at 6pm wherever they are landing, either picnic area end of runway or if the other side then Diseworth road.
I might then walk round to Diseworth road towards 10pm to catch a few snaps of them loading the cargo up.
