Paid a visit to Shuttleworth yesterday so that my daughter could play in the park and I could see some aeroplanes. Saw a nice variety of GA types.

G-MYUF 1995 Renegade Spirit UK

G-CIRT 2015 Rotorsport UK MTOSport

G-SPOG 1962 Jodel DR1050 Ambassadeur
Image

N123CA 1964 Dornier Do-28A-1 - such a great sounding aeroplane.

G-KMKM 2011 Rotorsport UK MTOSport

G-NFNF 1991 Pierre Robin DR400/180 Regent

G-ZGAB 2017 Bristell NG5 Speed Wing
Image

G-BUHZ 1948 Cessna 120 - I do like taildragger Cessnas, although the big radial ones are better.

G-NILT 2014 EV-97 Eurostar SL Microlight

G-MYHJ 1993 Cyclone AX3/503
Image

G-MTSJ 1987 Thruster TST Mk1 (Modified)

Also visiting were The Motor Pool 1944.

I accidentally ended up on the end of their convoy through Old Warden and Cardington on the way home, in my 1978 Vauxhall Viva 1300 GLS, much to the bewilderment of passers-by.

Cheers,
Oz

Great photo's and a great variety . Old Warden is such a nice airfield . And a Vauxhall Viva to boot , I used to have an '78 Viva 1800 GLS , great car until a Gas Tanker jumped the lights at the Crooked Billet in Staines and ran over it !

Thanks for the replies all.

Andy, I believe the Dornier has been based at Old Warden for a few years now, but this is the first time I've seen it up close too. Spotted it from a distance in the skies of Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire a few times last year.

JAWS, that sounds like a painful end for your Viva!
