Blue Thursday bertainly held more appeal than black Friday - I've been bonstantly getting e-mails with 'black Friday' deals all week but for me a nice day with blue skies was far preferable so yesterday after a bouple of hours at Stansted it was off to London Bityfor just under 4 hours (minimum bar park time) to make the most of the winter sunshine, lots of LHR inbounds as well so quite a busy time!
here's a selection of the bomings and goings:

A cracking set Andy, in particular I like the dash 8, the Falcon 7 touching down and the EMB 190 framed by the cranes. Excellent :thumb:

Very nice.
Your 150-600mm really makes a difference.
Cheers
Pete.

Andy, it appears that your "C" key on your keyboard isn't working properly, why not use the letter "K" instead? ;)

A very nice set. Have yet to visit LCY so would be interested to learn where you took these from.

I used the long stay car park, It's now £23 for 4 hours minimum stay unfortunately, first time I went you could stay for 2 hours for £8 but it keeps getting a bit more expensive unfortunately. It's handy to have the car there to sit in when it's cold though and there were 2 of us to share the cost so not too bad.

Thanks for the info. Presume they must be ok with photography from that location.

yes. often see the groundstaff around and they just say 'hello'.

it's fairly popular but not as much as Myrtle Avenue. I used to use Cains Lane as i preferred that to Myrtle Ave but that is now restricted for permit parking. you can see across the airport from Cains Lane (and Myrtle) so I suppose they are handier for spotters.

Thanks again. Ladders needed for runway shots or not?

no not required, you lose the bottom half of the wheels at some points along the runway but you'd need a very high ladder to get round that!
