Grey day at Manchester

Had a walk down to the take off end of 23L last week (3 Nov) to try some shots as aircraft lifted off the runway.
First time I've been down that end of the runway. Was a really dull cold morning and just got darker as the morning went on. Nothing special subject wise, but I thought they might be worth a quick peek.

No blue skies unfortunately!

Even without the blue skies not a bad set. Can't beat a 747 just at "wheels off" - I can almost hear the engines!

Excellent shots considering there was no sun, Pete. :thumb:

Cheers Nighthawke - could'nt believe how little runway it actually used- it got off the ground in about the same distance as the Legacy in the prev picture- impressive stuff, and they're not gonna be around forever.

Cheers Mike - still getting to grips with the Canon (1st DSLR) - wanted to see how it would do in less than good light.

Best Wishes
