the images aren't showing directly but the links to the flickr images work. not sure which option you used but try copying the BBCode and pasting it, I did that with the Silkway IL.76 (nice catch btw) like this:
ImageWHW_0505_Fotor by David Pyke, on Flickr

when you click the 'share' option there are 4 headings: 'Share', 'Embed', 'Email' and BBCode' - make sure you have clicked the 'BBCode' one then when you paste it the image is directly visible.

hope you don't mind but just trying to help you.

thanks for posting them

Hi Andy.
Have I got this right? On Flicker click the share button, then copy and paste using the BBCode link??.. Just re posted the IL76.

Thanks for your help if it is the correct way of posting

David :pop:

yes I can see it ok now so you've done it right.

re the sharpness, that won't be dust on the sensor - that would show up as black smudges. Check how your lens is focussing and one what might seem a silly question - have you checked it's not set to manual focus? Mine slips onto manual occasionally so worth keeping an eye on.
I have looked at the EXIF data and it suggests auto focus is working but notice the IL.76 is at full zoom with a bit of colour abberation so you might just be asking too much of the camera with that one - have you cropped it?

I'm not fully up with Nikon terminology but the EXIF data says:
AFArea Mode - Dynamic Area
AFPoint - Center
AFPoints In Focus - Center
I've had a look at the Nikon website to see what Dynamic area means and this is an extract:

Nikon’s three AF Area Modes—Single Point AF, Dynamic Area AF and Auto Area AF—are designed to handle any shooting situation.
With good light control and a static subject, Single Point AF ensures that the most important element in the composition, such as the eyes in a portrait, will be sharply focused
.
you might do better using either the single point AF or Auto area (this suggests single point) -a Nikon user can probably advise you better though - Anyone please?

here's a link to the Nikon page for you: https://www.nikonusa.com/en/learn-and-e ... modes.html

i personally wouldn't use photobucket as they keep blocking images that are linked from their site to forums so once they catch up with you you will lose them anyway, flickr tends to be sharper as well so most on here use flickr nowadays. I would stick to flickr if you can.
