Another planewatch meet and somehow the weather is always iffy - the rain did hold off until we were packing up for the day though so we escaped getting wet. This was the first time we had been offered a weekday morning and there were lots more biz movements that the average saturday so a bit of a bonus. some pics...

Nice varied selection Andy, nice to see Stansted without any reflection off the tarmac, you sitting looking out of the window nice and sunny up here at the moment, was going to pop down for the AN.26 at 18.00,but believe forcast is possible rain with heavy cloud, typical! could be down Sunday morning might see you then, regards Kevin.

i'm at Shuttleworth on Sunday Kev - sorry. I assume you know about the Turkemestan IL.76 then ;) I will have to catch it on departure, looks like there will be 3 more chances unless there are noise complaints after the first one :D

BTW it was fairly sunny at 18.00 but not sure what time it actually departed.

Great angles Andy, and good to see you again yesterday. Told you that you'd appreciate waiting for the Sandals G450!

yes, good to meet up again. I was quite pleased with some of the pics, I was surprised how many more biz movements there were yesterday. And what a scheme on the Gulfstream - as you said definitely worth waiting for.

That was very nearly my last ever pic on my 70D :o , walking back to the car I suddenly felt a jolt on the lens strap and the camera had become detached somehow (I must have caught the unlocking button). I fell down to about 9" off the ground before the second strap that I fitted as a precaution against that sort of thing saved it.! In short the black Rapid shoulder strap is bolted to the screw thread on the bottom of the lens and the camera strap is linked through it as a second line of defence so to speak - I'm so relieved I took the time and effort to do that - there's a handy tip from someone who nearly learnt the hard way!

I remember you telling me about the using the camera strap as protection - very glad to hear it worked!

It looks a bit unsightly and a bit of a tangle but it worked when it needed to, I'm pleased I took the time to set it up like that.

Great set Andy.

Pick of the bunch for me is the Cargolux 747 head on - a great perspective on a Jumbo!!

Wow, what a set!

Love that Gulfstream livery!

Jealous as always with what you saw, that cargolux is great but not as good as the one I saw today :P

Love the Government 747 too, and I also love the 787 shot on two wheels

James.
