A bright evening looks in prospect yesterday so I went to Stansted for an hour and a half - it would have been longer but a bank of cloud to the west shut the sun out prematurely but I managed some in nice evening light although the subjects weren't generally very interesting.

Very nice Andy! I like that set very much
Not sure what the stack of uninreresting liners are, Korean 747, Travel Service, FedEx, US Government Gulfstream etc etc, would have loved to have seen most of those, I suppose you've seen them a thousand times though Andy

well the Korean wasn't really at Stansted but most of the others are in either fairly or very regularly. Evening times at Stansted do get quite a bit of variety but most repeat themselves before long. The Gulfstream was a nice surprise but mustn't go on about it too much in case I get reminded that it's military!james143611 wrote:Very nice Andy! I like that set very much

If you like FedEx then a weekday evening is a good time to visit, suaally 2 or 3 MD.11s (often one is a 777), the A.300 plus their feeder flights all in a few hours.

There's some nice stuff in there Andy - e.g. the C-20, the BBJ and the FedEx A300. Piston twins aren't that common these days either. I noticed the Korean 747-8I feeding off the Lambourne hold while I was in the garden - it looked long enough to be an 8i, although I couldn't be sure at the time because it would have been at 8000ft or so!
