Cold & Gloomy Heathrow

Had a weekend down at Heathrow on the off chance of some good winter light and nice westerly ops to view from the Renaissance Hotel.

Didn't happen - got snow, gloom and easterlies so had to brave the freezing cold on the Thistle Hotel Viewing Deck.

Shame about the wx, but still good shots. Some interesting aircraft too, e.g. the Swiss 777 and the lovely Air China special.

Yeah nice set the take-off looking down on the tower pick of the bunch for me, the landing shot of the Singapore A-380 was that taken from the car park levels at T5 ??

Thanks for the comments folks - the landing Singapore A380 was taken from on-board a BA plane just after we had pushed back from T5 and started engines.
