MD-11 and An-124 Robin Hood Airport

The former RAF Finningley has a good habit of turning up some nice cargo movements, but this afternoon we had an MD-11 followed minutes later with an An-124. Not a bad afternoon.

nice ones Lee, looks like a Western Global MD.11
There seem to be lots of An.124s about in the UK in the last week or so, we've had 3 at Stansted (albeit the same one came in twice) this one and the other STN one went to East midlands last nigh instead of returning to STN - long may they continue although I would happily give up one of them to see the A.22 visit these shores (pref Stansted but I'm sure you'd prefer somewhere a bit further north!).

not sure how true but heard a rumour that the CAA will not let the An22 op to the UK for noise reasons - unless on a humanitarian flight.

that would be understandable but a great shame, hope the rumour is wrong
