I went to the Heritage Hangar last august when my brother went for his 60th birthday present - a flight in a Spitfire (I was only a tiny bit envious!). After his flight we were given a tour of the hangar and i took some pics but having separated the ones of his flight from the day's efforts I forgot about these until I found them yesterday, they were taken on 5th August last year.
The company specialise in the restoration of WW2 aircraft , mainly Spitfires and they also had an Me.109 under rebuild at the time. It was great to see them in various stages of work and then in the other half of the hangar there were a few Spitfires a Hurricane and a Piper L.4 all on show. I was able to sit in one of the Spitfires which was rather nice but hardly matched up to my brother's experience! All the aircraft are civil registered (or will be eventually if not already) hence i'm posting them here. They do tours of the hangar without going for a flight for anyone who is interested. We had a great day out, time on the apron as my brother prepared for his flight and then returned and chatting to the ground crew and restoration guys all made for a memorable day out. The pics:.......

the other half of the hangar where those not under re-build or maintenance are parked when not out flying...

and finally me in the cockpit....

something a bit different, hope it's of interest
