Ultra low AN-124 13/11/2016
Hello. This is my first post on this site so be gentle!
This inbound AN-124 blew a few crazy people over and just cleared the fence by inches at Brize Norton. Bet the bloke directly underneath with his dog saw his life play in high speed!
Subject over quality on this one.. and as anyone who knows Brize will appreciate, the usual runway touchdown spot doesn't start for another 300m.. and theres still a road to clear!
Thanks, Stroudy.

Yes way too close when side on. Didn't need to be any closer than that!
Ive seen a picture of its main gear missing the 2m high wooden perimeter fence by no more than 0.5m.. and therefore the bloke with the dogs head by only around the same!

Re: Ultra low AN-124 13/11/2016
Hes lucky it didn't go dark permanently! I think even for the most hardened plane geek, having the main gear of an AN-124 pass 50cm over your head at around 100mph would make you think twice about standing under the approach again! Its not exactly the most responsive plane to pull up quickly if needed!
Was an amazing experience, and I was 25m to its left.. but still under the wing tip

Wow that's really low
Re: Ultra low AN-124 13/11/2016
Great picture.
We regularly drive that road visiting relations. Good job they have traffic lights stopping cars for landings.
Seen plenty of An124 on the ground, but never been lucky enough to see one land there. The C-17's, and A330 are impressive, but that An124 -- wow !
Thanks for posting.

Good grief, that's low - I hope the gutter press don't get hold of your photo Stroudy.
Re: Ultra low AN-124 13/11/2016
Depends on the angle on the caption. If it was a purely positive take on aviation and a simple 'wow how spectacular is this' shot that would be fine and do our hobby the world of good. If it was given a 'crazy pilot in death crash danger near miss ban this sort of thing' angle it would be the usual Daily Fail tripe that does nothing but harm.
Rest assured I wont be sending it to the gutter press... unless they promise to get the type right and not call it an Airbus 787 Candid landing at Brize Heathrow airfield

Saw this on the Brize Facebook page and my jaw dropped. Have stood under the flightpath myself and a c130 worried me so god knows how I would have reacted if this happened!! Incredible shot!

Ah. I'd like to have an argument, please. ... Receptionist: Well, It's one pound for a five minute argument, but only eight pounds for a course of ten.

Re: Ultra low AN-124 13/11/2016
Blimey, that's only cleared the fence by about 2 feet !
That's what you call "skill" (or pure luck).
Great shots and thanks for posting the link, Stroudy.
