The weather forecast looked good and the skies at Rayne were almost clear so I made a short journey to Stansted this afternoon expecting some pleasant evening light..................WRONG!!!!!!! the cloud moved in almost as soon as I got there so the expected light didn't happen but I struggled on anyway. got a few on the northside first then onto the mound near the Hilton for 04 arrivals and departures, here are some of them..........

Great shots thanks for posting. The 747-8 is one heck of a biz-jet!
One question for you - perhaps it's me being unobservant (and we dont get any A330's into Humberside!) but dont recall seeing the bubble round the nosewheel of the Qatar A330F before. Is that a feature of the freighter version?

All the Qatar aircraft have the nosewheel bubble and I assumed it's a freighter only modification. I hadn't looked into it before but just did some googling and found this: https://www.flightglobal.com/news/artic ... ar-211629/ which confirms it is to simplify loading on the 330F.
so we have both learnt something this morning!!!

thanks for the comment
