Newcastle Departures 18th August

Post by M6LDQ » Fri Aug 19, 2016 8:11 am

Hi,
First time posting photos on here, but long time lurker,
Having decided to go to Newcastle airport on Thursday for the first time to photo,
I thought I would post some of my pics here,
Departures on RWY07, camera Nikon D3200 70-300mm,
Straight from the camera and untouched, except to add name.
Still very much a beginner with this camera how did I do ?

You've done very well Liam, plenty of good sharp shots there. Thanks for sharing them with us. :) :thumb:

Very good for a first attempt

they need a little tweaking with software to get them really sharp

and then they will be even better

it is not really that hard, just takes a little patience the first few times

good luck

Thanks for the replies,
Makes me want to go and get some more now,
I will be back again on Thursday hopefully to catch arrivals,
I was stood on the corner of coach lane and main road on rwy25 end,
Would be interested to try some software see how they would turn out

Ah Ha, forgot that the wind's changed this week :-)

I've been to that spot a few times but they've always been on approach.

Thanks PH,
I would have a try myself but my MacBook is in for repair and would need to get some editing software when I get it back,
Unless it can be done on iPad too

I went up again today to catch some arrivals and caught some more departures after they changed the runway,
Rather than create another thread, I'll add the pics here,
I also tried the photoshop app on iPad to sharpen them up a bit, as suggested,
How do they look ?

excellent!!!!

except you cut bits off!!!

like ends of wings

some mags (eg Aviation letter) never take pics with bits cut off

just a personal preference

BUT

always remember they are YOUR pictures

and YOU do as you like

but, personally, I do not like bits cut off

but you do see the point of PP = post production...for a little tweaking...

excellent.

Yeah thanks PH,
I am still learning the ropes,
I don't particularly like cut off bits,
But I'll get there eventually trial and error,
Thanks.
