We are so lucky at Norwich .... We get the most surprising arrivals .... This airframe has to be the catch of the year so far ?? It arrived for paint mid afternoon .... but where is it going ??

Certainly not! They're a Taiwanese regional operator, until recently with a few MD-80s and 757s. Apparently they're taking delivery of some 737-800s this year of which this is presumably one.

nice ones Keith,

as for FAT - good job they don't operate trains as well otherwise it might have been Far East Air & Rail Transport and still leaving the East out gives a rather windy acronym :D

They were due this B738 but it's now for someone else.

Nice one Keith, Watched it come over work at Sheringham darting in and out of the clouds.

Can see the B- reg is also under the wing on your photos.

Many thanks Mike B ! .... I just hope it doesn't roll out all white .... What an anti-climax that would be

Thanks - that makes sense of why it's arriving at Norwich in a recently applied livery, rather than leaving with one!

HaHa ! Yes it seems a very complex scenario ?? .... But it's here it's being painted and .... We eagerly await it's outcome ??

FAT?!! Who came up with that!? FEAT maybe better?

Reminds me of that Swiss liner, FAT Farner or something

Thank you james143611 ! Yes it is so unusual but maybe FAT doesn't have the same meaning in that part of the world ?? meanwhile a close crop showing B-28066 below the cockpit window (maybe that word doesn't go down too well there ?)

Keith,

Thanks for the gen on the Spicejet - I popped into the museum on Thursday, and am trying to identify what else I could see across the runway. I could make out 1 of the Rossiya A319s outside the hangar, but whatever was next to it was tail on - are the 2 Rossiya A319s side by side please? Also saw an all white (A320?) with several parts missing - can you help with that one also, please?

Thanks
Phil

Hi Phil ! Well these aircraft are moved around the airport on an almost daily basis .... from eastern apron to northern storage area ! But hopefully on Saturday the two Rossiya A319's, were the only two left of the three that arrived, would be EI-ETN and EI-ETO although EI-ETO has it's registration taped over at the moment ????
As for the 'A320' .... if it was to the left hand side (from where you were viewing) of the KLM /Bristow hangars that will be ES-AEB an E170 in the scrapping area ..... Hope this helps !!

The final chapter of this two week drama ! This afternoon this airframe left Norwich as VT-SZN with Spicejet following some time in the KLMuk hangar.
