Wow! Excellent pictures!
Cannot wait for my visit next month now, forgot Xiemen have started their Dreamliner operation! That TUI YR-BMD looks different! Is that ex-Blue Air or something?
Yangtze B-2435 is looking a bit battered nowadays

Ah didn't know TC-SUM had gone from Sun Express, I guess TUI has it leased from Blue Air for now?Bob UK wrote:Thanks James, YR-BMD has only just recently been delivered to Blue Air (30/5/16) and was ex TC-SUM

Re: June in Amsterdam
B8gger, just wrote a long reply and it disappeared , now can I remember what I wrote?
well lets start by saying what a lovely set with plenty of variety of angles and subjects. I do like that KLM T7 in the special scheme, it looks very good. As for the best of a very good set, I like the TUI 737, those trolleys just frame it nicely and make it an interesting setting but their symmetry prevent it looking cluttered.
The China Southern A.380 is a nice catch but wouldn't that look superb in the scheme that they use on the B.787s! As for that photo (if you don't mind a bit of criticism), I think it might have looked better if you had cropped the front end to remove that lamp post, for me it distracts a bit and almost creates a vertical break the image. The downside of doing that would be to lose the line of noses behind which add to it and cropping closer to the nose (and normally I'm not a fan of tight cropping) would tend to unbalance the image with too much on the left and a lot of space on the right - unless you cropped out a bit of the wingtip to even it up. I guess it's all personal taste but that pole is a bit annoying to the eye.
All in all looks a very good trip and very worthwhile especially with the good weather and thanks for posting them, last question is .... which one are you going to enter in this month's POTM, several worthy ones there
thanks again and hope you find the comments are helpful rather than just needless criticism
all the best
Andy

Re: June in Amsterdam
No problem at all with criticism Andy........ but in my defence your honour the 380 was shot through not the cleanest of windows whilst taxying, using my mobile phone...... thus saved as a JPEG....& when I did start adjusting, cropping etc it lost too much so I decided to leave as is, but that said I do agree with you (I might have another go at it later & spend a bit more time on it).andygolfer wrote:B8gger, just wrote a long reply and it disappeared , now can I remember what I wrote?

Nice pics, are these mostly taken from the Panorama deck?

Re: June in Amsterdam
Hi Tim, yep they are from the Panorama terrace apart from the Jet2, Serbia, these were taken through glass at the very end of pier/concourse G. & the China Southern 380 was taken through the very dirty A319 Easyjet window on taxi in...Tim R-T-C wrote:Nice pics, are these mostly taken from the Panorama deck?
