Hebridean Air Services fly Oban's only scheduled service to the islands of Coll, Tiree, Colonsay and Islay, off the west coast of Scotland. The rugged BN Islander is the only link, from the islands, to the mainland, when the ferries are storm-bound.

Oban is an interesting little airport, clinging to a strip of land, between hills and the sea. A beautiful location, especially in good weather. Since its redevelopment, it has become a favorite, with private aviation traffic, as a spring-board to the Western Isles
