Lovely set of shots. Quite like the Quest Kodiak. Weird looking little things.
Glad you post here, have seen some of the

and abuse you receive over on FighterControl.

Seems a bit unfair as it was other photographers giving you the abuse
I'm exactly the same as you and more interested in getting a clear shot of the aircraft with the registration in it. Upsets some of the pure photographers but as my main interest is logging I don't care! You do get a lot of places, most I can only dream of visiting!

That's some ace pictures mate! Loving the variety, and non-standard birds!
Loving that DHL Cessna, looks rather strange on a big tin!!

PH really love the Eastern, perhaps nostalgia for the time when there were more interesting variations in airliner types. Only thing I would suggest is not to crop . If you need to, as I know you have some pretty good equipment, crop maintaining the aspect ratio unless there's is a creative need to change. Seeing a bit more of the surrounding environment adds to the image. Hope no offence, as I like a number others like to see the interesting machines you manage to capture. Thanks for sharing Karl

Maybe a bit tight sometimes but then like any picture, it is often down to personal opinion. I try to mix and match with my own photos (not that I post many). At least this side of the "dividing line" you won't get "slagged off" (hopefully!). From a subject point of view I shall miss your rare & exotic (to me anyway) posts of military but trust you will continue on this side.
Thanks again

PH definitely better in my opinion. As a previous poster said all and done it is down to personal preference and I don't by any means mean to be critical. You manage to get some great air frames and I think cropping is one of those who things that is best done lightly unless you are dealing with a subject that really requires it and there are probably creative motives for doing so. I use lightroom for most of my post processing, obviously not sure how you are shooting and processing. Most processing software have cropping tools that allow the crop keeping the aspect ratio. No problem cutting away some of the unwanted surround but with aviation I personally keep to the ratio as shot as, again in my opion, it works well. Anyway nice to see your work and as the others have said keep posting!!! BTW always loved the Caravelle, was fortunate enough to fly twice in the type, super aeroplane.
